Portadown College is delighted to celebrate another year of very worthy GCSE success, with the Year 12 cohort achieving a set of results that reflect not only academic excellence but also tremendous dedication, perseverance and ambition.
This year, 75% of all GCSE grades awarded to PC students were at A* to B, while 97% of grades were achieved at A* to C. These results place Portadown College above the Northern Ireland Grammar School average at both benchmarks, highlighting the consistently high standards achieved by our young people. Overall, an impressive 97% of PC students attained 7 or more GCSEs at the top grades A* – C.
Principal Gillian Gibb expressed immense pride in the achievements of the GCSE class of 2026:
“Today is a day of celebration. Our students have worked incredibly hard, shown great resilience and embraced every opportunity presented to them. These excellent results are thoroughly deserved and reflect not only their commitment to learning, but also their determination to succeed.
