Portadown College was delighted to celebrate another year of worthy examination success on 13 August 2026, with students securing results that significantly outperformed Northern Ireland averages across all key performance measures.
This year’s A Level cohort attained one-third of all grades at A-A*, reflecting the outstanding commitment, resilience and academic excellence demonstrated by our Year 14 leavers students throughout their studies.
Principal Gillian Gibb paid tribute to these achievements:
“On behalf of the entire Portadown College community, I would like to congratulate our A Level cohort on their outstanding achievements. These results are a testament not only to their academic ability, but also to their dedication, perseverance and determination to succeed. Collectively, they reflect the high aspirations and excellent standards that characterise Portadown College.
Each student in Year 14 has undertaken an individual journey, sometimes with significant challenges along the way, to secure their personal best outcomes. Behind every student was a team of dedicated teachers, supportive families and committed support staff who encouraged and guided them throughout their time at PC. Sincere thanks to the College community for their valuable contributions to these wonderful outcomes.”
