A group of Year 11 students recently took part in the Stock Market Challenge event for schools held at Abbey Grammar School in Newry and finished a creditable third out of 22 teams.
They started with £20,000 and by the end of five days trading had turned this into £53,900. In addition Leah Donnelly finished second in the Market Analyst part of the competition, where she analysed stories from television, newspaper and radio broadcasts as to how they would affect share prices.

The team are pictured below and consisted of (left to right) Leah Donnelly, Kiara McClelland, Natalie Greer, Helen Mullen and Conor Webster.
