The annual Yr 11 Public Speaking competition took place on June 28 in the sweltering heat of a beautiful afternoon.

Nine teams battled for the coveted chocolate bars awarded to the victors.  Speeches ranged from abortion to vegetarianism and tattoos.  Delivery, research and audience rapport were excellent throughout and even to select winners seemed an injustice in the context of such quality.  Nevertheless it had to be done:

The winning team was Lucy Quinn, Laura Harrison and Jay Davey.  Runners up were Agne Bielskyte, Bobby Farquhar and Kane Burns.  In third place was the team consisting of Lucy Williamson, Jack McMahon and Grace Dundas.

We were delighted to welcome back former Geography teacher Lynda Frances who adjudicated with grace and wisdom.

The College is closed to students from Friday 20th March until further notice. Very best wishes to our young people, their families and friends at this difficult time.
