Year 11 Public Speaking Competition

Year 11 students participated in an end of term public speaking competition, involving teams of three composed of a Chairperson, Speaker and Expresser of Thanks.  The speeches ranged thematically from the technological to the political and cultural.

The discerning adjudicator was last year’s Head boy, Neil Reilly, himself a skilled public speaker having been awarded Best Speaker at national level in The Business and Professional Women’s Public Speaking Competition in 2014.

The Best Speaker award in this instance went to Matthew Walsh, in second place was Nye Crozier and Joanna Kerr in third place.  Best Chairperson was Lucy Stevenson and Best Expresser of Thanks was Matthew Cupples.

Congratulations to all competitors and to Neil, home on vacation from Harvard, where he is continuing his studies.
