Students from Portadown College have once again excelled in their GCSE examinations.

Our strong performance at this level has been consolidated and I am utterly delighted that our haul of both A* and A grades has increased significantly which is a terrific reflection of the ability, industry and dedication of our young people. Mr Harper, Principal

Some 92.2% of all students gained 7 or more passes at A* – C and 42.4% of all grades were either A* or A.

Mr Harper commended our students saying they “should be proud of their achievements and look forward to further success in the future.  They have worked hard and laid a very firm foundation for their next step and future careers”.

He added, “I am grateful to parents and guardians for their steadfast support of the College and commend the young people in their endeavours”, continuing, “I am also indebted to our staff in the College who provide first class teaching in a nurturing and caring environment”.

Apart from the excellent overall statistics, there were outstanding individual performances from Faith Jenkinson and Tim Neill, both of whom achieved a full suite of 10A* grades.  Additionally , a number of students enjoyed exceptional success with a superb array of A* and A grades:
