PC Medallions defeated local rivals Lurgan College 62-3 in the quarter final of the Medallion Trophy on Saturday. PC now face an away trip to Larne Grammar in the semi-final.

The College started quickly and Lurgan struggled to contain the larger PC pack. Strong runs from No 8 Callum Walker, and both props Jay Blevins and Will Turbitt proved hard to stop. The College raced into a 24-3 half time lead.

In the second half the Lurgan boys continued to struggle with the size and power of the College pack. This then allowed the back line to take advantage of the spaces out wide. Strong runs from backs Jay Lismore, Carter McCluskey, James Conn & Rhys Heasty proved decisive.

Credit must be given to the Lurgan team who never gave up.
