Moving Image Art students Laura Harrison, Rheanna Ashe, Jodie Vance, Bea Soriano and Francesca Elliot and teacher Mrs O.McShane enjoyed a trip to the BAFTA award winning animation company ‘Sixteen South’ in Belfast on Wednesday 20th June. These five students had produced very successful animations as part of their coursework this year. This industry visit was aimed at increasing their understanding of the world of work in the creative sector. The students enjoyed a guided tour from the creative director Colin Williams. Students had an insight into the many roles and responsibilities of the employees from Art Directors, Illustrators, Animators, Graphic Designers, Editors, Producers and Sound technicians. The day ended with a screening of current and past animations including, ‘Lily’s Driftwood Bay, Pinkalicious and Claude.
