The Medallion Rugby team recently returned from a tour to Wales. Our first game was against Colston Grammar school in Bristol, a private school in beautiful surroundings with a strong rugby heritage. We fielded a strong starting team who eventually came out winners after conceding tries early in the first half. The 2nd game was against Ystrad Rhonda Rugby club in the Welsh Valleys. It rained very heavily throughout the game and the College team struggled to contain a much bigger and heavier team. Ystrad came out winners but the College side didn’t go out without a fight! Other highlights from the tour included quad biking and a tour of the Principality stadium in Cardiff.

Medallion Plate Competition
The Medallion’s season came to an end on Thursday 3rd March when Campbell knocked them out of the Medallion Plate in a semi-final replay. After holding Campbell to a 12-12 draw in the first game the College travelled to Belfast full of optimism. Unfortunately the College didn’t perform to their full potential and Campbell emerged 24-5 winners. The Medallion will now round off their season at the Campbell 7s tournament on Saturday 12th March
