2) RESULTS: STATEMENT OF RESULTS
In your envelope you will receive a statement of results. This will clearly list your grades, as well as the marks for each unit and overall subject.
For CCEA – with the introduction of omitted units this year for COVID, if you are having problems understanding your statement, CCEA has produced the following leaflets to explain:
3) RESULTS: GRADE BOUNDARIES
If you are considering a remark, it is important to know how close you are to the next grade boundary.
The easiest way to work this out is by comparing the uniform mark on your results statement to the uniform grade boundaries (UMS).
- You can do this for the overall subject by comparing your Final Uniform Mark to the overall subject boundaries.
- You can also do this for each individual unit within the subject.
The grade boundaries for each subject (and units) can be found on the Exam Board websites below:
Please note: the raw mark boundaries will not be published by CCEA at this stage. Furthermore, Year 11 will only receive a unit mark and no A* is issued at this stage.
4) RESULTS: APPEALS / REMARKS / POST RESULTS SERVICE

Please note: The resitting of a unit/subject is not processed at this stage. Internal students will receive information on this later in the year. For Yr 14 leavers, please contact the school by 1st December if you wish to resit a unit as a private candidate in Summer 2023 (*note: coursework cannot be re-taken as an external candidate).
5) RESULTS: Reserve Series (Some Yr 14 Only)
For the students who sat an exam in the reserve series at the end of June/early July, results for these subjects will be published by CCEA on 1 September 2022. The school will be in contact with you in advance of this date to provide further details, including the post-result service for these units.
In terms of UCAS applications for these students, CCEA has made the following statement:
“Please note, reserve series results will not be included with the main summer 2022 series results and will not be available to UCAS until after Thursday 18 August 2022. However, the reserve results will be with UCAS in advance of their deadline for confirming university places”.
CCEA have released a range of resources to help students understand and prepare for their results. These can be found on the student area of the CCEA website.
