Portadown College’s array of talented students are celebrating the school’s best GCSE pass rate in many years, with a significant increase in the percentage of grades achieved at A* to B. Furthermore, the College community is particularly pleased to note the marked improvement in the number of young people achieving 7 or more A* – B grades, including English and Mathematics.

Simon Harper, Principal, praised the commitment, dedication and resilience of PC’s GCSE students in consolidating an impressive variety of personal successes. Furthermore, he commended the contribution made by PC’s dedicated and expert teaching staff in securing such impressive outcomes, alongside the unstinting support provided by the parents of this year’s successful cohort.

Highlighting the pleasing the improvements at AS and A2 level also secured this year, the Principal expressed his “utter delight” at the enhanced results at all levels for PC students. He added, “Collectively, our young people should be especially proud of their achievements which see them exceptionally well prepared for the next stage of their educational journey with us here in PC.”
