In an effort to raise some money for ‘The Little Princess Trust’ Mrs Leeper had her hair cut off today. Students were able to buy a raffle ticket from Mrs Leeper and the four winners got to cut the four braids of her hair!
The Trust makes real hair wigs, free of charge for children in the UK and Ireland suffering hair loss, often as a result of cancer treatment. Mrs Leeper’s hair will be donated to help with these efforts. Providing a wig costs the charity £350 for manufacture, fitting and delivery she hopes to raise some cash to help turn the hair into a wig! You can find more details about the charity at www.littleprincesses.org.uk
At the same time Reece Somerville had his head shaved to raise money to fund a building project for homeless people in South Africa. Reece will be travelling to South Africa in July for 10 days with ‘Urban Saints’ to take part in this project.
