Belfast Telegraph Senior Schools Cup Preliminary Round: Result Corpus Christi 0 – 1 Portadown College Scorer Ali Slimas (Yr 12)
Corpus Christi were the favourites for this year’s competition having won the Irish Cup on two previous occasions (2004 and 2006) and 4 consecutive League and Cup doubles in their own Belfast League. Previously they had only ever lost one other competitive game against St.Columb’s (Londonderry).
Congratulations to team captain Joel Richardson and to all squad members for a fantastic performance and a memorable result. The squad now faces RBAI in Round 1 proper on Wed.22nd Oct. at Kernan.

A’Level Results Improve Year on Year at Portadown College 51% of grades at A’Level are A Once again students and teachers in Portadown College are celebrating excellent A’Level grades with a 100% pass rate in 2008. This year the previously high percentage of A-C grades soared from 90 to 93% and the % of A grades increased from over 40% last year to an outstanding 51% this year.
